Regular engine oil and filter changes are critical for the overall health of your vehicle. Without a sufficient amount of clean oil, your engine will struggle to perform at its best. Because engine oil is crucial for regulating engine temperature, it’s especially important that you have this taken care of when the temperatures near triple digits — and get well past 100 degrees — in the late summer. Healthy tires are incredibly important for vehicle safety. Because the rubber is the only part of your Lincoln to touch the road, even one bad tire can put you at risk for an easily avoidable incident. During the spring and summer, take the time to occasionally check your tires’ air pressure and make sure that they meet the recommendations in the manual. While you’re doing this, keep an eye out for signs of wear like bubbling, cracking, or uneven wear. You can also perform the penny test by putting a penny head-down between the treads of your tires. If you see the top of the president’s head, it means you’re coming due for a new set.
